During the Quarter Final of Hero Super Cup 2017-18 between ‘Jamshedpur FC’ and ‘FC Goa’ played on April 12, 2018 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, the referee was required to expel members of both the participating teams. The matter was studied by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee and the operative part of the order is provided below:

Jamshedpur FC

  1. Mr. Subrata Paul (Jersey 01– Jamshedpur FC)
  2. Mr. Anas Edathodika (Jersey 15 – Jamshedpur FC)
  3. Mr. Kervens Belfort (Jersey 9 – Jamshedpur FC)
  4. Mr. Robert Andrew (Goalkeeping Coach – Jamshedpur FC)

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has imposed sanctions upon each of the players, being a suspension of 2 (two) consecutive matches, over and in addition to the automatic suspensions of the subsequent match imposed under the AIFF Disciplinary Code, be it under Hero Super Cup or otherwise played under AIFF regulations, and during the suspension period, bans all of them from the dressing room/substitutes’ bench as well as the stadium.

In addition, Mr. Robert Andrew (Goalkeeping Coach – Jamshedpur FC) and Mr. Anas Edathodika (Jersey 15– Jamshedpur FC) are imposed with a fine of Rupees One Lakh each under the AIFF Disciplinary Code for trying to brutally assault an opponent player, and Mr. Anas Edathodika for willfully disregarding the ‘expulsion order’ and directs both of them to pay the respective fines within 7 (seven) days.

FC Goa

  1. Mr. Bruno Filipe Tavares Pinheiro (Jersey 16 – FC Goa)
  2. Mr. Sergio Juste Marin (Jersey 21 – FC Goa)
  3. Mr. Brandon Fernandes (Jersey 10 – FC Goa)

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has imposed sanctions upon each of the players, being a suspension of 2 (two) consecutive matches, over and in addition to the automatic suspensions of the subsequent match imposed under the AIFF Disciplinary Code, be it under Hero Super Cup or otherwise played under AIFF regulations, and during the suspension period, bans all of them from the dressing room/substitutes’ bench as well as the stadium.
