NEW DELHI: Table-toppers Bengal strengthen their position at the top of the table following their goalless stalemate against host Goa in a Group A clash in Goa today (March 16, 2017).

At the back of two consecutive wins against Chandigarh and Services, West Bengal started strongly against Goa. But the resilient Goan defenders showed their mettle to see off the danger quite exquisitely until the referee blew the final whistle.

Following the result, Bengal are enjoying the pole position with 7 points from 3 matches while Goa have gathered 4 points having played one match less.

On the other match today, Services shocked Chandigarh to open their account in the final round, thanks to the winner scored by Francis Zountlunga in the eighth minute from the penalty spot.

Albeit Chandigarh tried their best to find the equaliser, eventually it eluded them to leave the pitch empty-handed.

Now Chandigarh have three points from as many games and Services have bagged the same having played one match less.
