Techtro Swades slam 10 past Dzawo; Minerva Academy win a cliff-hanger

NEW DELHI: On the third day of the 2022-23 season of the Hero Futsal Club Championship at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here on Friday, February 10, 2023, Minerva Academy FC edged out Goal Hunterz FC 5-4 in the most closely-fought match.

Minerva were trailing 3-4 at the lemon break but came back well in the second half. Captain Nikhil Mali led the charge with goals in the 17th and 27th minutes. The other goals were scored by Scott Moraes (9’), Clinton D’Souza (23’) and Krishna Gawas (15). For the Hunterz Nischay Adhikari scored two goals (5’, 6’) while Bijoy Gusai (3’), Abhiraj Singh (6’) and Pranav Sharma scored the other goals.

Techtro Swades United FC outplayed Dzawo 11 FC 10-3 as Harsh Vardhan scored a hat-trick with three goals in three minutes (27’, 28’, 29’). Substitute Bhuvan Singh (15’, 15’) and Priyanshu (7’, 8’) scored a brace each while Renedy Meitei, Ankit Singh and Janio Fernandes scored one each.

Electric Veng Futsal Club defeated Sports Odisha 5-2, riding a brace by Lalhlimpuia (9’, 37’) and one goal each from Zomuanpuia (25’), Lalsangkima (18’) and VL Rindika (35’). Both goals for Sports Odisha were scored by their substitutes – Sk Raheman (11’) and Jagannath Tudu (38’).

The match between BPSS FC and Juggernaut FC, Ahmedabad ended in a thrilling 7-7 draw. BPSS were in the lead at the halfway mark but conceded five goals in the second half, scoring three. The star for BPSS was R Vijay, who alone scored five goals (3’, 28’ penalty, 30’, 34’, 37’). Captain Jayavandan Sigamani (18’) and UK Surya (14’) scored the other two goals for them. Shibu Sunny scored a hat-trick (16’, 27’, 33’) for Juggernaut albeit in a losing cause. Substitute Harshlal Walawalkar scored a couple (32’, 35’), too, while Captain Aman Shah (30’) and Vedant Mutkekar (8’) scored one each.

Capital Complex FC beat Aphuyemi

Capital Complex FC defeated Aphuyemi Football Club 9-5. and Tarh Dolu, who scored four goals (2’, 6’, 18’, 35’), and Tagru James (19’, 25’, 25’) were the stars for the winners. Techi Tatra (6’, 40’) scored two. For Aphuyemi, Suraj Bhairat scored three (2’, 3’, 23’) but of course that did not help his team’s cause. The other two goals were scored by Ranveer Gaikwad (12, 24).
