Joint convocation ceremony of AIFF Masters held in Mumbai

NEW DELHI: Mr. Sunando Dhar, Acting General Secretary of All India Football Federation presided over the joint convocation ceremony of the AIFF Masters Class of 2021, and Class of 2022 in Mumbai on Monday (August 29). Mr. Souter Vaz, Hon. Secretary of WIFA, and Mr. Sudhakar Rane, Gen. Secretary of Mumbai Football Association, also attended the ceremony.

Chinmay Ramesh Pagar was awarded the Gold Medallist of the AIFF Masters Class of 2021, as he headed a high-performing group of candidate managers to earn a perfect 4.00 GPA score. Chinmay is currently employed with JSW Sports as Sales and Marketing Manager.

From the AIFF Masters Class of 2022, Mr. Avishek Mondal won the Gold Medal with another perfect score of 4.00 GPA. He also has the honour of being awarded a distinction for his work on the Pearson -- LFC Sports Program, an integral curriculum component of the AIFF Masters. Avishek currently works with BBFS as Product Manager.

The silver and bronze Medals for the Class of 2021 were bagged by Mr. Saketh Chowdary and Mr. Karan Mehta respectively; while Mr. Harigovind Nair and Mr. Ahmer Mohammed were the medal winners for the Class of 2022 respectively.

Addressing the students, Mr. Dhar made a special mention of their dedication of having worked in bio bubbles of several competitions over the last two years. “I compliment the students for their hard work, and the manner they ensured smooth facilitation of relevant operational activities from within the bio bubble over the last two years. I have seen them operate from close in consecutive editions of the Hero I-League, and your contribution despite the challenges has set an example for others to follow,” Mr. Dhar averred.

“I wish all of you good luck, and am confident that you will make us proud,” he added.

Mr. Souter Vaz also praised the work ethics of the students. “During your academic year you have had the opportunity to learn through a variety of experiential activities in India and Spain,” he stated.

“Your experiences with the Hero I-League, sessions at the University of Cadiz related to Football in Europe and Spain, Stadium experiences in Spain and India, will all contribute towards firming up your skill sets, and prepare you to work, and contribute towards the growth of football in India,” he added.
