NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) conducted a two-day workshop for the match officials of the Indian Football League (IFL) at the Football House in New Delhi on February 18 and 19, 2026.
25 match officials participated in the workshop, including 12 referees and 13 assistant referees. The sessions were led by AIFF Technical Educators, Elite Referee Coaches and former FIFA referees Rowan Arumughan and CR Srikrishna.
The workshop included fitness testing to assess the physical preparedness of the officials, along with sessions aimed at evaluating mental readiness. Technical discussions focused on offside decisions, positioning and movement, teamwork, player management, key match challenges, and analysis of shortcomings from the previous season.
The participating match officials, all of whom are Level 3, were selected based on their performances and merit ranking from last season. Consistent high performers in the IFL will be considered for promotion to Level 2 (ISL).
