Goals galore in Hero Futsal Club Championships as Speed Force, Delhi Football Club register thumping wins

NEW DELHI: On the third day of the 2022-23 season of the Hero Futsal Club Championships at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here on Saturday, February 11, 2023, Dzawo 11 FC drew a blank against Speed Force FC, who won 15-0.

Mohammed Ahtesham Ali scored five goals (12’, 14’, 15’, 24’, 31’) alone, while captain Ibrahim Ali (6’, 22’, 39’) and Mohammed Jawaad Hussain (26’, 27’, 31’) scored hat-tricks, too. Zahid Mohiuddin scored a brace and Mohammed Abdulrahman (7’) and Sayeed Ali Ahmadi (28’) scored one each.

Delhi Football Club blew away Sports Odisha 16-3. Chanpreet Singh Bhui (13’, 23’, 39’), K Roluahpuia (13’, 37’, 38’) and George MS Dawngliana (19’, 21’, 31’) scored three goals each for the winners while Gwgwmsar Gayary (26’, 32’) and Lalremruata (32’, 33’) scored a couple each. David Laltlansanga (18’), captain Isac Zomuanpuia (23’) and Jojo Zaihmingthanga (40’) scored one each. The scorers for Sports Odisha were Lesson Kumar Munda (16’), Jagannath Tudu (28’) and Sipu Behera (35’).

Mohammedan Sporting defeat Capital Complex

Captain Shamshad Ali led the charge with three goals (5’, 21’, 25’) as Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Capital Complex FC 7-4. Sandeep Oraw scored two goals in the second minute of the match and Suvo Khatoora scored one in the 27th. For Capital Complex, Tagru James (1’, 12’) and Tarh Dolu (24’, 39’) scored a brace each.
