MISSION XI MILLION REACHES VENUE OF THE FINAL OF THE FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP INDIA 2017

Mission XI Million reached a new frontier with the Host City of the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, Kolkata, hosting a seminar. 210 schools attended it and showed their love for football, a game that enjoys immense popularity in the state as well as its capital. More than 400 people packed the Ahindra Manch which was the venue for the seminar, the recent in the series that are being organised all over the country by Mission XI Million, ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017.

Seeing the overwhelming response, Project Director of the Local Organising Committee of FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 India, Mr. Joy Bhattacharjya remarked, “I am extremely delighted to see Kolkata, the Host City of the final, gearing up for the World Cup in this way. It is even more amazing to see how Kolkata has taken to Mission XI Million in an earnest way by popularising football and taking it to so many other districts as a part of the programme”.

Mission XI Million is on its way to get eleven million children in contact with the beautiful game. The Government of India and All India Football Federation programme, Mission XI Million uses the school network and facilities around the country to encourage children to play the beautiful game.
