Role Overview
The Performance Analyst will be responsible for delivering tactical and data-driven insights to support the holistic development of players within the girls team at the AIFF-FIFA-Telangana Talent Academy, Hyderabad. This role involves detailed match and training analysis, close collaboration with technical and sports science staff, and contributing to the long-term growth of women’s football under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS).
This position is open to female candidates, in line with the requirements of working within a residential girls team environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Match & Training Analysis
- Record and analyze training sessions and matches using video and performance analysis tools.
- Identify key tactical and technical KPIs.
- Provide actionable insights to coaches on formations, transitions, pressing patterns, and set-pieces.
2. Player Development Monitoring
- Track individual player performance and progression.
- Support Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Highlight strengths and areas for improvement using data-driven insights.
3. Video Feedback & Presentations
- Create tailored video feedback for players and team reviews.
- Assist coaching staff in tactical briefings.
- Maintain an organized digital video library.
4. Technology & Data Management
- Operate tools such as Hudl, Nacsport, Coach Paint, Dartfish.
- Manage video equipment and GPS systems.
- Ensure proper data storage aligned with AIFF systems.
5. Reporting & Collaboration
- Submit performance reports to the Performance Systems Manager.
- Collaborate with coaching, sports science, and medical teams.
- Contribute to AIFF and FIFA TDS reporting frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Physical Education, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in football performance analysis.
- Proficiency in video analysis and data tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Strong understanding of football tactics and youth development.
- Willingness to work in a residential academy.
Preferred:
- Experience in women’s football or elite academies.
- Familiarity with GPS/data systems.
- Basic video editing and presentation skills.
- English & Hindi proficiency.
