Role Overview

The Lead - Education, FIFA TDS will be responsible for managing and monitoring the academic, vocational, and life-skills education of all players enrolled at FIFA Talent Academies across India. The role involves aligning educational programs with national curricula, ensuring academic continuity for players, and supporting their holistic development beyond football.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Program Management

  • Coordinate with education coordinators, local schools, local and online education providers, and tutors to ensure seamless academic access for all academy players across the FIFA Talent Academies in India
  • Monitor academic progress and attendance across all FIFA Talent Academies, maintaining detailed educational records.
  • Ensure timely enrollment and examination registration for players based on their respective boards (CBSE, State Boards, etc.).

2. Curriculum Support & Individualized Learning

  • Identify academic support needs for players (remedial, bridge, or advanced learning) and implement tailored learning plans where required.
  • Facilitate access to learning tools including textbooks, digital platforms, and online assessments.
  • Encourage multilingual education support where needed.

3. Life Skills & Vocational Training

  • Develop and coordinate age-appropriate life skills modules on topics such as time management, communication, career planning, and digital literacy.
  • Identify and partner with vocational education providers to offer non-football career pathways for players.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the point of contact between the AIFF, schools, parents/guardians, and academy team regarding all education matters.
  • Liaise with state and central education departments and local school authorities for compliance, documentation, and student integration.

5. Monitoring, Reporting & Evaluation

  • Track academic and non-academic educational KPIs and share monthly updates with the TDS core team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional record-keeping of academic performance, assessments, and behavioral development.
  • Identify and address educational challenges proactively with support from counselors and house parents.

 Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in school administration, youth education programs, or residential learning environments, including teaching.
  • Familiarity with school curricula (CBSE/State Boards/NIOS/others).
  • Strong documentation and coordination skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Education.
  • Experience working with athletes or in sports-integrated academic institutions.
  • Knowledge of digital education platforms (NIOS, online schooling tools).
