NEW DELHI: Manipur finished top of Group B after defeating Uttar Pradesh 4-0 in their Group B encounter of the 30th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-26, at the Rama Krishna Mission Ashrama Ground, on Friday, October 10, 2025.
In the other match of the day, Haryana handed out 7-3 drubbing to Punjab.

Manipur sealed the top spot in Group B, scoring twice in each half against Uttar Pradesh. The 23-time champions finished the group with a perfect record – four wins in as many matches – garnering 12 points; they scored 17 goals and conceded none in the process.
With the top two spots in the group already decided, the two teams embarked on a tight contest in the first half an hour, as Manipur broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, when Remi Thokchom’s cross from the right found Lynda’s head in the box, and the striker made no mistake to put the ball in. Lynda doubled the lead in the 39th minute with an opportunistic strike, capitilising on a rebound off the upright.
After the change of ends, Nongmaithem Ratanbala Devi made it three with a long range effort on the hour mark, followed by another strike from distance, this time by Dangmei Grace in the 69th minute, that found the top corner.
Haryana 7 (Neha 3’, 8’, 53’, Saniya 10’, 40’, Vipanshi 34’, 64’)

Haryana and Punjab were already doomed to elimination from the tournament before the game had kicked off, but the former finished Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-26 Final Round campaign on a high note with a 7-3 victory against Punjab. Haryana went into the dressing room at half time with a five goal lead.
Forward Neha scored two in the first half, and one after the restart (3’, 8’, 53’), completing her hat-trick in the process. Saniya (10’, 40’) and Vipanshi (34’, 64’) also added two goals each. Meanwhile, all of Punjab’s goals came in the second half, Bandana (52’) scoring while, while Soibam Tejbala (67’, 89’) netted twice.
