NEW DELHI: The Indian U17 men's team defeated United Arab Emirates 1-0 in the first of two closed-door friendlies on April 17, 2026, at the Windmill Football Club in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

Azlaan Shah Kh scored the winner for the Blue Colts in the 27th minute, with Dallalmuon Gangte providing the assist.

Both sides will play another friendly on April 21 at 16:30 IST, also behind closed doors.

The friendlies are part of India and UAE's preparations for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026. The Blue Colts will take on Australia (May 6), Uzbekistan (May 10) and DPR Korea (May 13) in Group D in Jeddah.
