NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) successfully conducted an Elite Coaches workshop in Mumbai from June 27 to 30, 2025, bringing together some of the finest coaching minds in Indian football.

A total of 24 top Pro Diploma coaches, along with selected A Diploma coaches, actively participated in the intensive four-day programme. The workshop focussed on advancing contemporary coaching methodologies, practical on-field sessions, and peer learning opportunities.

The sessions were conducted under the leadership of Mr. Vivek Nagul, Head of Coach Development, AIFF, while Technical Director Mr. Syed Sabir Pasha was present throughout the workshop, closely observing and providing valuable insights.

This initiative is part of AIFF’s ongoing commitment to coach education, aiming to enhance technical competencies and support continuous professional development across the nation.

I-League and Santosh Trophy-winning coach Sanjoy Sen, who was one of the participating coaches, said, “This course is a new experience for us. This is less about teaching, and more about sharing views amongst ourselves, and I feel that that is most important for coaches to enrich themselves.”

Thangboi Singto, a coach with vast experience in the ISL and the I-League, said, “I think the modules under this course have pushed and ignited a lot of ideas in the coaches. We’ve got some young coaches, and just to observe their fresh ideas are a learning experience for us, while they learn from our experiences as well.”
