AIFF invites applications for position-specific online scouting workshop

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is inviting applications for the position-specific online scouting workshops, which will be held between April 12 and April 14, 2021.

The webinar is being delivered as part of an MoU signed between the AIFF and the International Professional Scouting Organisation (IPSO), with the aim to deliver courses and webinars on scouting in the country. 

The workshop will cover position-specific scouting and will include positions of goalkeepers, centerbacks and fullbacks.

Workshop five, ''The Goalkeeper Analysis'', will cover a deep analysis of the goalkeeper from three phases at the ages of 13, 18 and 28. Candidates will learn to look for different abilities and skillsets for their age and standard.

Workshop six, ''The Center-Back Analysis'' covers the deep analysis into the position of the modern centre back. Candidates will learn in deep to analyse a defender from different phases looking for various abilities and skillsets for their age and standard.

Workshop seven, ''The Full-Back Analysis'' takes a deep dive into the position of the full-back, where the candidates learn to scout full-backs from different eras and ages of their career looking for various abilities and skillsets.

The first phase of the course was successfully completed in November 2020, and the online course will only be open to candidates who had attended and completed the first four workshops.  Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility can apply for the course on the Coach Education Portal, starting today.
