Bio

A player who started his career by playing for huge clubs like Sporting Goa and Churchill Brothers in the Hero I-League, Seriton Benny Fernandes donned the Indian jersey for the first time in 2021. It had been a long time coming, given his consistent performances at the top level of club football in India.



Born in Goa in 1992, Fernandes started his professional career with a loan spell at Sporting Goa, on loan from Churchill Brothers. He impressed during the loan spell and spent until 2017 at Churchill Brothers before being snapped up by FC Goa in the Hero Indian Super League. He has been a regular fixture in the Gaurs' setup, and has won the Indian Super Cup and Hero ISL Premiers with the club. Seriton was also a part FC Goa squad that participated in the 2021 AFC Champions League.
