Club Licensing Appeals Committee to meet at Football House

NEW DELHI: The appeal petitions of four Clubs -- Mohammedan Sporting, United SC, Churchill Brothers and Rangdajied United will be assessed when the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Club Licensing Appeals Committee meet at the Football House on Tuesday (June 3, 2014).

N.K. Sud, Retired Justice Punjab and Haryana High Court will Chair the meeting which will also have Sanjeev Paul, Managing Director TATA Metalicks, and Neel Ratan, Executive Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited as the Committee Members.

The Meeting is scheduled to start at 2 O’ clock in the afternoon.

The Club Licensing Committee, the First Instance Body – which met at the Governing Body’s Headquarters on May 21, 2014 decided to disband the four Clubs based on the documents provided by all the 14 Clubs and the Inspection conducted by the AIFF Inspection Team in the month of April/May 2014.

The requirements include legal, administration, sporting, infrastructure and financial criteria which all Clubs are required to meet. The license is required to compete under the AIFF’s Indian Club Licensing System, and is reviewed annually based on a Team’s overall performance.
