NEW DELHI: Shillong Lajong FC have roped in Uilliams Bomfin Souza Silva for the upcoming I-League Season, a statement from the Club has informed.
The industrious forward has put pen to paper with the Reds and is the fourth foreigner in the Lajong Squad.
The 24 year old who arrived in Shillong on Saturday will be the first ever Brazilian to play for Lajong.
Uilliams joins the North East I-League Club from J-League 2 side Sports Club Sagamihara.
On signing the contract with Lajong, he said “‘I look forward to my future with Shillong Lajong and I believe that I can make a real contribution to the team's efforts to win trophies in the future."
General Manager of Shillong Lajong FC, Mr.Habamutlang Lyngdoh said, “We are very pleased to have Uilliams with us this season as he is a player that can do very well for us.”
“The Brazilian has got some wonderful talent with him having experienced professional football in Brazil as well as Japan. With his positive attributes and quality, we believe he can help the club achieve success this season,” he added.
