The Manipuri striker, who joined Shillong Lajong in the 2008-2009 season has inked a new deal to commit his future to North East I-League Club, Shillong Lajong FC.
Tuboi, who has been nursing an injury which he suffered from the 2011-12 season, has been a prolific scorer in front of goal for the Reds, and has always been a crowd’s favourite.
Tuboi played a stellar role in Lajong’s 2008-09 I-League 2nd Division campaign and was instrumental in guiding Shillong Lajong FC to the I-League in 2009-10.
His development though, was cut short by a prolonged injury, which saw him sitting out of the 2012-13 season as well.
Commenting on the new deal with the Club, Tuboi reiterated his eagerness to don the colours of the Club once again and said, “I cannot wait to get back on the field and start scoring goals again”, Tuboi said.
