NEW DELHI: All India Football Federation President Mr. Praful Patel congratulated Bengaluru FC on their second I-League triumph in three years. Bengaluru FC defeated Salgaocar FC 2-0 on Sunday (April 17) to emerge Champions with a match to spare.

From his Official Twitter handle @praful_patel tweeted: ‘Congratulations to @bengalurufc on emerging Hero I-League champions. Well played!’

This is Bengaluru FC’s second I-League title in three years. They had won their maiden title in their first year, only to finish runners-up to Mohun Bagan in the next year (2014-15).

AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das also congratulated Bengaluru FC on winning the Hero I-League.

“Congratulations! Winning the title with a match to spare is creditable indeed. It reflects the confidence and the camaraderie both on and off the field,” he told www.the-aiff.com.

“I congratulate every Player, Coaching and support staff. Enjoy the moment. Deserving Champions,” Mr. Das added.
