NEW DELHI: All India Football Federation President Mr. Praful Patel congratulated the Indian Women’s for their performances in the South Asian Games.

The Indian Women won the Gold Medal as they defeated Nepal 4-0 in the Finals.

In his congratulatory message to the Women’s Team, Mr. Patel said: “Congratulations to the Women’s Team for winning the Gold Medal. I have been following the matches and the Women showed exemplary character. You make us proud. Keep up the good work.”

“It’s your moment. Cherish it and enjoy. Congratulations,” he added.

Mr. Patel also congratulated the Men’s U-23 Team for winning the silver. “The manner you bounced back in the Championship is commendable. That the U-23 boys including three U-19 boys earned a podium finish is very much laudable.”

AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das also congratulated both the Teams for their “achievement.”

“The Teams didn’t get much time to prepare for the Championship. But the manner they performed on the field was so commendable. Congratulations to each Player and support staff,” he said.
