KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan, at the back of their maverick win over Bengaluru FC in their last Hero I-Lague encounter, are scheduled to host Abahani Limited Dhaka in their first AFC Cup 2017 Group E home match at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium in Kolkata tomorrow (April 4, 2017).

Both the teams had to kick-start their AFC Cup 2017 campaign on a sour note where the Mariners tasted a 1-2 defeat against their familiar foes JSW Bengaluru FC, Abahani Limited Dhaka got stunned by Maziya Sports & Recreation at their backyard.

"We had a ball possession of over 70% but they scored the goals. It happens in football and we couldn't deny it. Tomorrow is a fresh game and we'd start afresh", Drago Mamic, Head Coach, Abahani Limited Dhaka sounded pretty optimistic in today's pre-match press conference.

"We'll obviously look forward to it as a new challenge and we're  quite ready for it", Sanjoy Sen sounded confident ahead of the match as well.

According to Abahani Limited Dhaka skipper Mamun Mia, they'd rather settle for a point if not a win.

Meanwhile, Sanjoy Sen mentioned, "Obviously I'll sit across the table with Sony to discuss. He played a good time in Bangladesh and he's quite knowledgeable about Bangladeshi football. It might be handy for us as well."

Azharuddin Mullick, the young Mariner, is rearing to give it a shot tomorrow to make it count too.

"I played the last match, I want to play my part tomorrow as well to prove my worth. Whenever our coach provides me with ann opportunity, I'll not sit laid back to let it slip from my grasp."

The match kicks off at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium at 07:00 PM tomorrow.
