NEW DELHI: Manipur storm into the semi-final of the Junior NFC 2016-17 following a whopping 10-0 victory over Goa at the Barabati Stadium. The girls from Manipur have netted 26 goals in the quarter-final stage in 3 matches with an average of more than 8 per match.

N Ratanbala Devi opened the scorebook in the 16th minute and then it was followed by a stellar show from H Daya Devi who scored 4 goals before the lemon break.

After the resumption, N Ratanbala Devi completed her brace in the 48th minute. Before the hour-mark, S Ranjana Chanu, Y Hemolata Devi and L Rikma Devi also etched their names in the scoresheet. Towards the end of the game, S Ranjana Chanu completed her brace three minutes to the final whistle.

Having secured a win against Jharkhand, Odissa became the second team from Group A to qualify to the Semi-final of the Junior NFC 2016-17.
