NEW DELHI: Indian Football has gone from strength to strength in 2016. Not only has the Indian National Team won the SAFF Suzuki Championship in early 2016, India reached its best FIFA Ranking of 137 since August 2010 in the FIFA Ranking released in October. While, the Women’s Team won Gold in South Asian Games 2016 and JSW Bengaluru FC became the first Indian Club to progress to the AFC Cup Finals. Add to that, Uvena Fernandes became the first Indian Woman Assistant Referee to officiate in the Final of a FIFA World Cup. 

Keeping in mind the exhaustive progress made by Indian Football in the year, we will be looking back at the top highlights of the year. From December 01, 2016 we will be publishing highlights of the year that has made the Nation proud.
