JSW BENGALURU FACE 4.25 SC IN AFC CUP INTER-ZONE SEMI-FINALS
22 Aug 2017

JSW Bengaluru of India will host 4.25 SC of DPR Korea in the first leg of the AFC Cup Inter-Zone semi-finals on Wednesday.

The return fixture will be held in Pyongyang in three weeks’ time when the sides will battle it out to see who will take their place in the inaugural Inter-Zone final.

Taking part in their third successive AFC Cup knockout rounds, Bengaluru are aiming to go one better than last year’s final defeat to Iraq’s Air Force Club.

The Indian side’s rapid progress on the continent has seen them navigate the group stage in each of the three seasons they have been involved on the continent.

Bengaluru did, however, leave it until the last game to advance this time round when Sunil Chhetri’s free-kick claimed a 1-0 win over Maziya Sports & Recreation of the Maldives to top Group E.
