Barasat Turf granted Two-star grading

AIFF Media Team The Artificial Turf at the Vidyasagar Krirangan, Barasat has achieved a Two-star rating from FIFA. The Project, a joint initiative of All India Football Federation and FIFA under the ‘Win in India with India,’ Programme is likely to host some I-League matches next season. Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary of AIFF thanked FIFA for their cooperation. “We are extremely grateful to FIFA for their support. The Krirangan is now blessed with an excellent artificial turf which will promote good quality football in the near future.” “We will continue our endeavour to provide good infrastructure for the promotion of the sport in the country,” he added. The ‘Win in India with India’ Project now has State-of-the-Art playing fields in Bangalore, Goa, Mumbai and Kolkata (Barasat). Two more fields would soon be installed in Goa (Fatorda) and Kerala (Kochi).
