Background:

India will host the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in 2017. It will be the first time the country hosts an event from the world football governing body. This is the third most important event of the FIFA calendar, with 24 countries playing 24 games in up to 8 venues across India. The FIFA Under 17 World Cup has been a key stepping stone in the careers of a large part of world football stars, among them 16 senior FIFA world champions and will be the most important event ever to be hosted in Indian football history.

The tournament has a huge worldwide reach, with an estimated global audience of about 200 million viewers from almost 200 different countries, which is a golden opportunity to show India throughout the world, its cities, culture and the capability of organizing an event of the highest standards.

The FIFA Under 17 World Cup will have a lasting influence in Indian Football, upgrading the infrastructure, setting up proper game operations standards and improving the overall quality of the game. Undoubtedly, the FIFA Under 17 World Cup India 2017 is primed to be a game changer for Indian Football.

Position Description:

This position will be responsible of the daily accounts operations of the LOC. It must have a complete understanding of management of budget, cash flow, ledger, expenses reporting, cost control, accounting and tax filing. This position will also be in charge of the processes of Purchase Orders, Accounts Reimbursement, Small Expenses and Conciliation of Expenses. This position will be the main relationship point with the external reporting and audit firm that the LOC will engage.

Main Responsibilities:

1.Process management for all accounts of the LOC, using the SAP System;

2.Budget management in accordance with the budget furnished by the LOC and approved by FIFA. Update expenses and incomes related to each budget line;

3.Expense projections according to the budget, propose budget reassignation;

4.Supervise and control the financial and accounting processes related to the economic activities of the LOC on different Department and units, ensuring compliance with the Procedures and Accounting Norms;

5.Furnish and review accounting reports, ensuring coverage of the requirements of external entities and other areas of the LOC, as well as the accuracy of the information furnished;

6.Filling Tax Statements (Income, Service and Direct) on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis;

7.Supervise the reception, review, validation and accounting of the payment requirements in a way to ensure the continuity and payment of the same;

8.Elaborate and present the financial and accounting balances to the LOC Leadership for their review, guaranteeing the accuracy of its information;

9.Manage, execute and control the activities related to the accounting of the LOC, in order to ensure the compliance with the current norms;

10.Manage the process of bank account conciliation, identifying potential discrepancies and informing them in a timely manner to the LOC Leadership;

11.Establish and execute the scheduling of the accounts processes, ensuring appropriate coverage of all of the LOC´s obligations;

12.Gather information of the commitments of monthly payments, expenses and incomes;

13.Inform of the cash flow situation to the LOC Leadership, ensuring its adequate and timely management;

14.Develop, review and maintain a register and control of the financial and accounting data of the LOC and of the fix assets of the LOC in SAP;

15.Elaborate and distribute reports of the process of treasury, accounting and fixed assets, in accordance to what is requested by the LOC Leadership;

16.Manage the numbering of the Purchase Orders, Funds Reimbursement Form, Funds Request Form and receive all the funds requirements from different areas for different activities;

17.Maintain the relationship with the reporting and audit firm so that information can be updated in a truthful and consistent way;

18.Budget control in accordance with the budget updates approved by FIFA;

19.Make budget analysis in a budgeted versus real version, accounting for savings and identifying cash flow;

20.Supervision of all the budget procedures in each of the Venues (cost centers);

21.Supervision of all the purchase and use of material procedures in each of the Venues (cost centers);

22.Make income vouchers for operations in relation with funds gathering by invoice to contractors;

23.Furnish expenses vouchers for any operations in relation to any payments of any bank, budget or contractual obligations committed by the LOC;

24.Establish control of all the accounting and financial documents made by the LOC;

25.Make accounts analysis in relation to clients, contractors, funds to be reimbursed, funds requested, advance of salaries and others;

26.Request payments via phone or email of all the invoices generated by the LOC;

27.Control of the documents to be presented to the Tax Authorities of India; and

28.Furnish the monthly and yearly tax reports for the Tax Authorities of India.

Candidate Profile:

1.Chartered Accountant or other professional from the financial area with a university degree and 5 years experience in a similar position;

2.Experience in the accounting or financial area of a company;

3.Knowledge of the current accounting norms and legal documentation in relation with finance and accounting;

4.Knowlegde of banking system and documentation;

5.Expert level knowledge on SAP applications, with the capability of generating reports and new registrations;

6.Knowledge on Income, Direct and Service Tax Filling;

7.Experience interpreting, elaborating and proposing alternatives that have as a consequence the improvement of the economic and financial conditions in the companies were the candidate has previously worked;

8.Proven record of transparency and probity on all its previous work assignments. Trustworthy individual to manage funds;

9.Experience working with procedures, instructions, policies and other documents that establish standard operating procedures and process controls on Business Areas;

10.Experience in monitoring budgets cost control, budget control, cash flow control and others; and

11.Proven capability of developing its functions in a ordered manner, undertaking for the compliance of the current legal norms and the efficacy and efficiency of the labors developed.
