NEW DELHI: India will participate in the AFC eAsian Cup 2023 in conjunction with the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. The AFC will orgsanise the AFC eAsian Cup 2023 (“eAC23”) to provide the Participating Member Associations (PMAs) of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 with an additional avenue for engagement and to celebrate the spirit of gaming and football in a unique and innovative way.
The eAC23 will be conducted using eFootball TM 2024 for the PlayStation 5 console. The PMAs will compete for the eAC23 consisting of two (2) parts: The Group Stage and the Knockout Stage. The eAC23 groupings will be based on AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 draw results. Each PMA will be represented by three (3) participating players and the matches will be played in a 2v2 format.
The AIFF is inviting registrations from eFootball Athletes for selection to the National eFootball Team to represent India at the AFC eAsian Cup 2023. Selection process will be announced in due course by AIFF, based on the registrations.
