NEW DELHI: The AIFF, along with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), conducted a workshop on league development at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal, on Friday, September 3, 2021.

AIFF CEO of Leagues, Mr. Sunando Dhar addressed the workshop, giving a presentation on various issues like club licensing, structure of leagues in India, and COVID-safety bio-bubble that was in place during the Hero I-League Qualifiers 2020, Hero I-League 2020-21, and Hero ISL 2020-21.

Also present in the workshop were ANFA President Mr. Karma Tsering Sherpa, ANFA General Secretary Mr. Indraman Tuladhar, member of the ANFA League Committee Mr. Bigyan Raj Sharma, and representatives from all A Division clubs in Nepal.

“We had a very fruitful workshop with representatives of the ANFA and the football clubs in Nepal. The attendees of the workshop showed a keen interest in how the AIFF has managed to implement club licensing,” said Mr. Dhar.

“The league structure, especially in the youth leagues, was discussed at length and we have received a lot of good responses during this interactive workshop. The AIFF had conducted three major leagues from within a bio bubble which also drew a lot of interest. We hope sharing such information helps them move forward together.”
