TWENTY SELECTED FOR INDIAN U-17 WOMEN'S TEAM FOR BRICS U-17 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

NEW DELHI: Following the Indian U-17 Women’s National Team Camp in the capital that commenced from July 01, 2018, twenty players have been selected for the Indian U-17 National Team that will participate in the BRICS U-17 Football Tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Indian U-17s will face the likes of Brazil, Russia, hosts South Africa and China in the BRICS U-17 Football Tournament and according to Head Coach Shukla Dutta, “the tournament will help in the evolution of the players”

“Playing against tough opponents is always a welcomed challenge for any players as it aids in the development. We will face against some of the best teams in the world and give our cent percent on the pitch”, Dutta said.

The list of the selected players follows below:

GOALKEEPERS: Monika Devi, Khushi Chanu, Archana A.

DEFENDERS: Pavitra Murugesan, Eva Panna,  Sushmita Tannty, Papki Devi, Shanthi Murmu.

MIDFIELDERS: Grace Lalrampari, Debinita Roy, Bannaya Kabiraj, Samiksha, Babysana Devi.

FORWARDS: Santhiya, Vanlahriattiti, Karishma Rai, Manisha, Souyma Guguloth, Karishma Shirvoikar, Renu.

HEAD COACH: Shukla Dutta
