Role Overview:
The Goalkeeping Coach will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and monitoring of all goalkeeper-specific training at the National Team. The role involves technical and tactical development, fitness coordination, and psychological preparation of goalkeepers' across youth age groups, in line with AIFF’s player development philosophy
Key Responsibilities:
1. Goalkeeper Training & Development
Design and implement a structured, age-appropriate curriculum for goalkeeper development in line with AIFF’s national standards.
Conduct daily training sessions focusing on goalkeepers specific actions and communication.
Customize training plans based on individual strengths, improvement areas, and progression levels.
2. Match Preparation & Performance
Prepare goalkeepers tactically and mentally for matches, including opposition analysis and game scenarios.
Support goalkeepers during games with warm-ups, coaching cues, and post-match feedback.
Collaborate with analysts and coaches for video review to prepare IDP.
3. Monitoring, Assessment & Feedback
Maintain goalkeeper-specific performance data and progress reports.
Provide regular technical and psychological feedback to players in a supportive, constructive manner.
Track physical workload and coordinate with the S&C coach and medical team to optimize readiness and reduce injury risk.
4. Collaboration & Integration
Work closely with the Lead Coach, Assistant Coaches, Sports Scientist, and Physiotherapist to align training methodology and schedule.
Engage in holistic player development, supporting education, discipline, and personal growth aspects.
