Role Overview

The League Security Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all security and crowd safety operations across league venues. The role ensures consistent implementation of approved security plans, compliance with statutory regulations, and safe delivery of all matches in coordination with clubs, stadium authorities, and public security agencies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Planning & Governance

  • Develop and implement league-wide security policies, SOPs, and matchday security guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with AIFF, local authority, and statutory safety regulations.
  • Act as the central escalation point for security-related incidents.

2. Matchday Security Operations

  • Oversee deployment of security personnel at all league venues.
  • Monitor crowd management, ingress/egress, segregation, and access control.
  • Coordinate matchday security briefings and risk assessments.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with police, civil defence, private security agencies, and stadium authorities.
  • Coordinate with clubs and Venue Operations Managers on security readiness.
  • Support match commissioners on security compliance matters.

4. Risk Assessment & Incident Management

  • Conduct venue security assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Manage incident response, reporting, and post-match security reviews.
  • Escalate high-risk situations to league management promptly.

5. Accreditation & Access Control Support

  • Ensure proper implementation of accreditation protocols in coordination with operations teams.
  • Monitor restricted zone access and security screening procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years’ experience in stadium/event security or law enforcement coordination
  • Strong understanding of crowd management and emergency response
  • Experience working with police and public safety agencies
  • Excellent decision-making under pressure
  • Strong reporting and communication skills
