All India Football Federation is seeking a process-driven and ethical Chief of governance & administration with strong leadership skills to drive and improve the efficiency of AIFF's support operations and ensure smooth operations of the AIFF Headquarters. The Duties for the Chief of Governance & Administration will include managing administrative staff, guiding operating methods, disbursing funds to departments, monitoring budgets, improving information systems, overseeing human resources requirements, updating senior executives, analyzing financial data, and developing operating procedures and policies. The superior organizational skills and strategic planning of the Chief of Governance & Administration will assist AIFF in harmonizing operations, improving employee performance, generating positive revenue growth, and enhancing its business model.

The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, a talent for finance and budgets, ability to multi-task, and superior interpersonal skills. The noteworthy Chief of Governance & Administration should streamline operations, ensure that administrative functions run smoothly, eliminate wastage, and improve the organization's financial standing through accurate expenditure monitoring and budget forecasting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all support functions of AIFF by working collaboratively with the Heads of Department of Legal & Compliance, Finance, Government Relations, Player Status & Registrations, Technology & IT, Logistics & Protocol, Human Resource & Welfare, Infrastructure Management, Security & Integrity and Safeguarding
  • Coordinate with the Head of Strategy, Chief of Football Development and the Chief of Business & Marketing to ensure the efficient operations of the organization
  • Formulate policies, regulations, and guidelines that are aligned with the Vision 2047 objectives, and put feedback mechanisms in place to ensure compliance
  • Formulate an objective framework to evaluate AIFF’s governing performance
  • Maintain relationships with AIFF’s key governmental stakeholders including the Sports Authority of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India
  • Develop and manage the organization’s budget and financial plan
  • Assist AIFF Member Associations in adopting good governance practices
  • Oversee human resource and welfare operations and create policies for the benefit of the organization
  • Implement and maintain systems for data management, security, and risk management
  • Oversee the maintenance and operations of physical facilities
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Represent the organization in external meetings and negotiations related to governance, compliance, and risk management
  • Advise the Executive Committee on governance and compliance matters
  • Oversee the development and implementation of internal controls and audit processes

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an administrative management role
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls and audit processes
