Background:

India will host the FIFA U‐17 Women’s World Cup in 2022. It will be the first time the country hosts a women’s tournament event from the world football governing body. This is an important event of the FIFA calendar, with 16 countries playing 32 games in across Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai. 

The tournament has a huge worldwide reach, with an estimated global audience from almost 200 different countries, which is a golden opportunity to showcase India though-out the world, its cities, culture and the capability of organising an event of the highest standards. 

The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will have a lasting influence in Women’s Football in India, upgrading the infrastructure, setting up proper game operations standards and improving the overall quality of the game. Undoubtedly, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 is primed to be a game changer for Indian Football. 

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for managing the F&B operations for all constituent groups centrally across all venues while ensuring consistency in delivery of services. 

The F&B Manager must work jointly with the Assistant Director & HOD Protocol to implement strategies, action plans, protocols and business plans that have as an objective fulfill the Mission and Vision of the Organization. 

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with all functional areas of the LOC to identify F & B requirements for all constituent groups Managing LOC F&B, Hospitality Division within the preparation work of FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup India 2022. 
  • Basis the requirements prepare the scope of work for F & B suppliers and draft the request for proposal to finalize the vendors. 
  • Exercising quality control measures to ensure that the delivery of F & B is as per the requirements of each constituent group. 
  • Keeping a track of the quantity ordered to ensure delivery as per the approved budgets and escalating issues immediately. 
  • Recruit and training Venue F & B managers as well as volunteers to ensure consistent delivery across all venues. 
  • Finalize food menus for all constituent groups beforehand and share with the selected service provider for compliance. 
  • Validate the final invoices received from the service providers for final payment purposes. 

Candidate Profile:

  • Full university education in streams such as Hospitality, Restaurant, Food Service Management, or others related. 
  • At least 3 years working experience.
  • Knowledge of the following Areas: Food, Beverage and Food Standards and Safety.
  • Experience in fast-paced concessions and retail operations, ideally in the sports industry.
  • Experience with client management. 
  • Experience with creating proposals.
  • Good relationship with peers in high stress moments. 
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Advanced Level of English.
  • Advanced Level of knowledge in Microsoft Office platforms such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Work Experience in sports is a plus.
