NARAINPUR, CHHATTISGARH: Karnataka began their Swami Vivekananda U20 Men's National Football Championship 2025 Group B campaign with a 2-0 victory against Gujarat at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground, on Wednesday, April 30. Tamil Nadu dominated hosts Chhattisgarh in a 4-0 win in the second match of the day, to climb to the top of the group.
Tamil Nadu sit at the top of the table followed by Karnataka, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, who are all on three points each. Andaman & Nicobar are placed at the bottom, and are yet to get a point.

Karnataka 2 (Premish T 25’, Nirupam Gowda H 90+2’)
A goal in each half gave Karnataka their first win in the group. Premish T got the better of Gujarat in the 25th minute, when his right-footed shot from outside the box hit the back of the net.
Nirupam Gowda’s injury-time header secured the three points for Karnataka.
Tamil Nadu 4 (Aswanth S 32’, Rooney Rose 80’, Leonardo Christy L 89’, Kirthik A 90+5’)

Tamil Nadu were determined to bounce back from their earlier defeat against Gujarat, and they did just that, with a convincing victory against the hosts.
Aswanth S opened the scoring for in the 32nd minute, but it was later in the game, when the team from the south turned on the heat. Rooney Rose doubled the lead in the 80th minute, while Leonardo Christy L added a third in the 89th. Karthik A netted the fourth in injury time, to put his side provisionally on top of Group B.
