NEW DELHI: The India U17 women’s team defeated Philippines 2-0 in the second closed-door friendly match at the Vagator Football Ground in Anjuna, Goa, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Anushka Kumari scored both goals for the Young Tigresses, first from the penalty spot in the 26th minute, and then in the 50th.

Philippines won the first friendly 4-2 last Saturday.

This was the Young Tigresses' fourth and final friendly in preparation for the AFC U17 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, which will be held in Malaysia from October 5 to 11. Joakim Alexandersson's side will reach Kuala Lumpur on October 2.
