AIFF-FIFA capacity-building for coaches 2025-26 programme begins in Kolkata

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF), in collaboration with FIFA, commenced the three-day AIFF-FIFA Capacity-Building for Coaches 2025-26 programme in Kolkata on Monday, October 13, 2025, with the focus on developing high-performance coaching mindsets and tactical excellence.

Instructors at the three-day programme are AIFF Technical Director Mr Sabir Pasha, Head of Coach Education Mr. Vivek Nagul, and Coach Educator Mr. Jeddy Almeida, with 27 candidates attending the sessions.

Following the introductory session, all attendees shared insights into their current professional roles.

Classroom sessions explored key themes in psychology, emotion management, and leadership, highlighting a strong mental framework and a culture of accountability that can drive team performance. Interactive discussions encouraged the exchange of experiences and practical reflections among participants.

The candidates were also engaged in an on-field training session emphacising defensive organisation, with the aim to bridge the gap between mental preparation and tactical execution.
