Since making his debut for the Blue Tigers, Farukh has always been touted as one of the promising youngsters. He played for Lonestar Kashmir in the Hero Second Division League 2016-17 before getting picked up by Kerala Blasters in the next season. He came very close to writing a glorious chapter in Indian Football history in the international friendly against PR China in Suzhou on October 13, 2018 but missed the target by a whisker.
