NEW DELHI: The Indian Women’s National Team lost 1-5 to Morocco in the COTIF Cup on August 05, 2018 in Valencia, Spain.

After a drab first half where both teams failed to make the most of their opportunities and went into the tunnel on level pegging, with the scoreline read 0-0, it was the Indian Women who opened the goal scoring tally of the match.

Santhiya latched onto an Umapati Devi cross in the 42^nd minute and bundled it home to give the Indian Women a 1-0 lead. Morocco however equalized their deficit in the 49^th minute when the African side scored from the penalty spot.

A minute later Morocco doubled took the lead and in the 56^th minute the opponents breached the Indian defence and found the net once again as the scoreline read 3-1.

Two back-to-back goals in the 69^th and 70^th minute for Morocco completed the rout as the Indian Women lost 5-1 to the African side.

The Indian Women play their last match in the COTIF Cup next on August 06, 2018 against Madrid C.F.
