GOA: After participating in the AFC U-16 Championship in Goa, the Indian U-17 World Cup Squad will gear up to face Russia in their opening encounter of a five-nation BRICS U-17 Football Cup on October 05, 2016 at the National Sports Stadium in Bambolim, Goa.

Thereafter, the Indian Colts will clash swords against South Africa, China and Brazil next on October 07, 11 and 13 respectively.

Speaking exclusively to www.the-aiff.com, Head Coach of the Indian U-17 World Cup Squad Nicolai Adam dubbed the Cup integral to the experience of the squad.

“The BRICS Cup gives us an opportunity to play a minimum of four International matches”, the German Coach opined.

“It (BRICS Cup) will add to the experience of the boys as we prepare for the FIFA U-17 World Cup”
