GOALKEEPING COURSE CONCLUDES AT GWALIOR

NEW DELHI: Indian Women are perfectly maintaining a positive slope in the sports field and off late, they have scaled newer heights. Be it the wrestling arena or the badminton court, they have excelled and have proved their worth on the biggest possible platforms.

Recently, Belgium Women's Football Team hasn't set a wrong foot to steal the limelight in the World Football and Mrs Annie Ida Jenny NOÉ, the FIFA Instructor from the country came down to India to pertaining her knowledge to the frontline goalkeepers of India during the 5-day course at Gwalior.

Annie Ide, who donned the Belgium National Colour for a considerable period, praises the participants on their attitude towards learning the nitty-gritty of goalkeeping, "They are very motivated to learn and pick up coaching well on the pitch. In the classroom, they were very attentive and they were not shy at all."

On an exclusive chat with www.the-aiff.com, the astute gaffer shows immense faith on the Indian goalies but hasn't forgotten to remind that there is much room left for improvement. On her own words, "the participants were very quick learners." She adds more, "I’m sure that the level of goalkeeping in India will improve a lot if those players will have the right opportunity to develop in good working conditions."

Annie Ida Jenny was at the helm of the Belgium National Team and the Youth Team for a period of more than 20 years and her eagle eyes can't go wrong picking up talents, "I was happy to see that such young players were able to adapt the coaching skills at such a pace, this was the most remarkable observation for me."
