All India Football Federation President Mr. Praful Patel today (August 19) congratulated ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu and ace Indian Woman wrestler Sakshi Malik for winning medals in Badminton and Wrestling respectively in the ongoing Rio Olympics.

Mr. Patel also announced a reward of Rs. 5 lakh each both for Sindhu and Sakshi.

"AIFFMedia expresses its support & solidarity to the sporting fraternity for doing India proud. We award Rs. 5 lakh each to Sindhu and Sakshi,” Mr. Patel tweeted from his personal twitter account @praful_patel.

“They make us proud. Their achievements inspire the entire Nation,” Mr. Patel said.

While Sindhu is the first ever Women athlete from India to have won an Olympic silver medal, Sakshi became the first-ever Indian Woman wrestler to have won an Olympic medal.
