NEW DELHI: The AIFF U-17 Colts were held to a goalless stalemate by DSK Shivajians in the ongoing U-18 I-League Final Phase at the Howrah Ground in Kolkata on January 29, 2016.

Although the Indian Colts started to attack from the start, and although chances came in plenty, the Colts could not capitalize on them. Early in the first half, Jayananda was awarded with an opportunity to open the goal scoring charts as he was found clear of mix by a Anirudh Thapa corner. Unmarked, Jayananda could’ve headed the ball home, but instead he steered it inches wide of it.

Both Teams indulged in a battle for possession and both Teams had chances to take the lead in the second half, after a dry first half concluded with the scoreline reading 0-0.

The Indian Colts were awarded an opportunity early on in the second half, but DSK’s custodian Sayak made a top-draw save to deny a first time Edmund shot following a Surya cut-back.

It was the Indian Colt’s custodian Prabhsukhan Gill’s chance to showcase his Goalkeeping acumen as the shot-stopper made a Neuer-esque save to deny DSK a sniff at goal, after Amit Tudu lost possession.

With both Teams failing to capitalize on their goal scoring opportunities, the full-time scoreline read 0-0.

The AIFF U-17 Colts are currently leading Group A with 4 points out of 2 matches and clash swords against LoneStar Kashmir FC next of February 02, 2016.
