NEW DELHI: Coming on the back of a thumping 8-0 win over Dempo SC, the Indian U-17 Colts continued their sterling run in the ongoing U-18 I-League as they registered a 5-0 win over Sporting Goa on December 13, 2015 at the Nagoa Ground in Goa.

A brace by Prosenjit Chakraborty and a goal apiece by Jerry Lalrinzuala, Anirudh Thapa and Edmund Lalrindika led the Indian Colts to an easy win on a cool Sunday afternoon.

The Floodgates opened in the 27th minute when Jerry made the most of his chance and blasted home the ball from an acute angle to hand the Indian colts a solitary lead.

Shortly after, in the 38th minute, Prosenjit’s thumping header after a delicious Nijwm cross from the flanks found the light of day.

Although the half-time scoreline read 2-0, the Indian Colts were far more dominant as they kept possession and dictated terms.

Changing over, and two minutes into the second half the Colts scored again to garner an unassailable lead as Prosenjit once again headed home the ball, this time however from an Anirudh Thapa cross.

In the 79th minute, the Indian colts garnered a free-kick 30 yards out. And Anirudh Thapa hammered home the ball to make it 4-0. In the dying embers of the match an exquisite one touch play between Edmund and Bodo saw the former clear onto goal, as coolly slotted the ball past the opponent custodian to make it 5-0.
