Academy boys undertake Swacch India campaign

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation’s academies Staff and Elite Academy players along with their Technical Director of Academies and coach Education, Mr Scott O’Donell undertook cleanliness ambition after their first U-19 I-league victory on December 14, 2014 in accordance to the Nation-wide “Swacch India” campaign launched by NDTV in association with Dettol.

At the start the plan was chalked out to clean the waste on Colva Beach, but after observing the areas near the car park; the boys and the staff picked up the broom and garbage bags to clean up every nook and corner of car park, beach shacks, sea shore and nearby areas; Nearly 40 Bags full of rubbish was collect in one hour.

Mr. O’Donell highlighted importance of hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness using his personal involvement as an example.  

The whole event was quite inspiring and motivating for the staff and players. The players realised that the best work is carried out by a person himself. It also made the players aware of the dignity of labour.
