Background: India will host the FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup in 2020. This will be the
second tournament that we will host from the world football governing body. This is the third
most important event of the FIFA calendar for Women’s Competitions, with 16 countries
playing in 36 games across 4 venues in India. FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup has been a key
steppingstone in the career of a large part of world football stars and will be among one of the
important events ever to be hosted in Indian football history.
The tournament has a huge worldwide reach, with an estimated global audience of about 200
million from 200 different countries, which is a golden opportunity to showcase Indian cities,
culture and the capability of organizing an event of the highest standards to the world.
The FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup 2020 will have a lasting influence on Indian Football,
upgrading the infrastructure, setting up game operations standards and improving the overall
quality of the game. Undoubtedly, FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 is primed to
be a game changer for Indian Football.
Job Description: This position will be responsible for leading Finance and Procurement for all
events related to the tournament. The Finance and Procurement Manager must work together
with the Tournament Director to ensure budgets and timelines are being honoured.
The role involves reporting to the Tournament Director on all financial strategies, action plans,
protocols and business plans are adhered to keeping in mind regulations.
? Responsible for implementation of all financial and procurement processes for the FIFA Under
17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 as per the guidelines and polices followed by LOC/AIFF.
? Assisting the Tournament Director in preparing budgets.
? Supervise and manage all payments and tenders
? Responsible for maintaining financial records, closing of accounts and auditing.
? Develop its work consistently with the values of the organization.
? Other tasks and projects that may be required from the Tournament Director from time to
Personnel in Charge: Will be agreed by the Tournament Director once this hiring process ends
and there is a definite plan for this area.
Key Performance Indicators: Will be communicated in due time by the Tournament Director in
accordance with the goals established between FIFA and the LOC for the FIFA U17 Women’s
World Cup India 2020. The indicators will be calculated on the basis of the Finance and
Procurement requirements met in a timely manner.
? Full university education in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or others related is a
? Master’s in Business Administration is an advantage
? At least 3 to 5 years related working experience
? Knowledge of the following Areas: Accounting, Auditing, Planning and Taxation and Regulations
? Strong analytical capability
? Excellent written and oral skills
? Advanced Level of English
? Advanced Level of knowledge in Microsoft Office platforms such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
? Work Experience in sports is a plus
