Priya Da as he is known in Football Fraternity is a man of action who has helped to lay the Foundation for the growth of Football in India by emphasizing on the need of development of Football by creating new Infrastructure & promoting the game at Grass Roots and Rural India. His visionary efforts has led to Launch of Vision India Projects and the First Pro National Football League from 30 Sep 07. He has assured full support and facilities both for training and Development of National Team and welfare of Players.

A Youth Congress Leader , he is a sitting Member of Parliament and holds high office of Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs in the Indian Government.
