Meghalaya beat Maharashtra 1-0 in a Coca Cola 32nd Sub Junior National Football Championship for Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy Group B match played at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex ,Gurgaon on Friday. The winning goal was scored by Shaiborlang Kharpan in the fourth minute before Maharashtra boys could settle down. Maharashtra tried to equalize but could not score due to some good defending by Meghalaya Boys.

In the second match of the day Uttar Pradesh beat Delhi in an evenly contested match by a solitary goal The winning goal was scored by Atul Dev in the 68th min of the match. Delhi recorded its second successive defeat in Group B ,while UP who had lost to Maharashtra in the opening match recorded first win.
