Uttarakhand Police lifted the Dehradun Football League  beating Eleven Star by a solitary goal in the last match of the league. The District League concluded with the Uttarakhand Police versus Eleven Star match.
The cops defeated Eleven Star by a solitary goal. Experienced Sher Singh scored the winner in the 67th minute of the game.
The position of Uttarakhand Police was strong as they had a better goal average and needed only a point to clinch the title.
After wasting at least three open opportunities, due to slippery condition, the Police side manage to find the net through Sher Singh. Eleven Star looked good in patches and agile striker Deepan appeared dangerous, but he failed to receive corporation from his teammates.
Dodging past two defenders Sher Singh scored the lone goal of the match. Amit Bisht, Saurav Rawat, Narender and Amit were specially impressive for the winning team.
Shashank mamgain (Tikari) of Garhwal Sporting was declared the highest scorer of the league and Wills Youth Club was awarded the play fair trophy.
