Friday will be the last chance for Mumbai FC to save their live, when they take on injury hit Mohun Bagan in the last round tie of the ONGC I-league to be played at the Cooperage ground here on Friday.
A win or a loss won’t make much of a difference to the Kolkata outfit as they will still end fifth but for Mumbai FC it surely a game for survival of not just the club but the repute of the city as well.
Hence the visitors will be giving all the young legs a chance to go out there and give in their best. The ones who will be missing for the Kolkata giants will be Chidi Edeh who is bereaved; Jose Ramirez Barreto and Snehashish Chakraborty are both injured. N S Manju too is out due to fever, while Marcos Pereira, Sangram Mukherjee, N Mohanraj are out due to suspension. This will give D Biswas, Branco Cardozo among others a chance.
While for Mumbai FC, they will miss Peter Siddique and the Khalid Jamil side have no double booking. But precisely the pressure is surely there for the local outfit to avoid the drop.
Jamil said, “This match is very important one and is going to be very difficult. Currently we can’t afford to play normal. We have to play aggressive and go all out as Mohun Bagan is a good team.” |
