Pune Football Club

Brief History

Pune Football Club was established in August 2007 by the Ashok Piramal Group.

The Ashok Piramal Group has multiple business interests and a formidable presence in key industries like real estate, textiles, engineering and now sports. Its diverse portfolio includes high-growth and innovative businesses which are professionally managed by entrepreneurial talent that is the best in the industry.

Most of the biggest clubs in the world are name on the city they were formed in; Pune Football Club seeks to be no different. Being a club for the people of Pune, the club’s logo is an amalgamation of various elements associated with this city.  While the colours of red and gold signify regality and aggression, the ‘ghorpad’ or the monitor lizard known for its tenacity, made famous during Tanaji’s - Shivaji’s trusted lieutenant - capture of the Kondana fort, occupies pride of place. Given the ‘ghorpad’s’ glorious association with Pune, the mascot of the Pune Football Club will undoubtedly bring this army of young, hard-working and exceptionally talented players the very success that it brought earlier to Shivaji and his troops.

We have a thoroughly professional staff consisting of the following:
