Amity United Football Club

Brief History

Amity United Football Club was launched by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, an umbrella organisation of Amity educational institutions, on 01 June 2005, with the aim of promoting football, the world’s most popular sport in India. We strongly believe that if the vast potential of our nation’s youth is nurtured correctly, one day India can reach the World Cup Finals! This is our dream.

The Amity United Football Club is located at the scenic 110 acre Amity Education Valley in Manesar, Gurgaon. With state-of-the-art residential facilities, our more than 30 players can focus single-mindedly on improving their game. Highly qualified and dedicated coaches, doctors, physiotherapists and physiologists assure a family-like environment. With the best technical and scientific inputs, personal coaching and nutrition we are trying to create world-class players, one athlete at a time.

The players in Amity United Football Club are mostly from Haryana and neighboring states but we have players from far South and North East also including players from professional clubs like Mahindra United, Mohammedan Sporting, HAL, Vasco, Salgaocar, George Telegraph, Indian Bank etc.

The achievements of the club are also encouraging within short span of two years. We have an opportunity to play against Indian XI, as well as many other prestigious tournaments like Durand Cup, Kalinga Cup etc. Amity United Football Club is affiliated to Haryana Football Association. Amity players have taken the Haryana state team to being ranked No. 6 nationally from its previous rank of 26. The U-19 team of from Haryana became Junior National Championship for the first time in the history of Haryana football. Eight players of the club played in the Haryana state team.

Amity United Football Club entered in I League 2nd Division in Jan 2008.

The club, as part of Amity Sports Foundation is yet another initiative by Amity to nurture talent beyond education.
